With two games remaining in the 2025 BCFC regular season the Sun will set their sights on finishing with a perfect 10 and 0 record to establish back-to-back undefeated campaigns.

The quest for the perfect season starts with Saturday’s match-up versus the 2 – 4 – 1 Langley Rams at home and closes out on the road in Kamloops against the 0 – 7 Broncos on October 4th.

Over the past three regular seasons the Sun have compiled a 28 and 1 record.  In 2022, 10 – 0, 2023, 8 – 1 (one game cancelled due to fires), 2024, 10 – 0.  With 2 games remaining in 2025, the Sun have a total of 36 wins and 1 loss over 4 seasons.

Getting back to the task at hand, the Langley Rams, who are coming into Kelowna after 29-29 tie with the V.I. Raiders, find themselves in a dogfight for the fourth and final playoff spot.  The Raiders, Huskers, and Rams are all tied at 2 – 4 – 1, each with three games remaining.

The Rams and Sun met in Langley in the season opener back on July 19th, with the Sun rolling to a 39 – 0 win.

Quarterback Liam Kroeger led the charge and set the tone for what was to come throughout the season.  Kroeger put up 303 yards thru the air for a total offensive output of 400 yds.

The Sun offense was led by the Kroeger to Jordayne Falconer combination, with Falconer hauling in 5 receptions for 144 yards. Running back Gerren Hardisty had 42 yards on 4 catches and chipped in 70 yards on 16 carries.

Kroeger is coming off another fine performance leading the Sun over the Rebels, going 15 of 26 for 238 yards, 1 TD, directing the offense to a net 419 yards.

The receiving corps have been the beneficiaries of Kroeger’s excellent play calling.  The Sun boast eight receivers in triple digit yards totalling 2,211.  In comparison, the Rams have three receivers over one hundred yards, totalling 587.

This game could be the night that Hardisty breaks the “1000 Yard” mark.  At a league leading rushing total of 943 yards, Hardisty is just 57 yards shy for his ticket to the exclusive club.

All season the “Sun Sack Squad” of defensive linemen JaQuintis Summers and Jarveon Williams have terrorized quarterbacks around the conference.  The season opener was just the beginning of their reign of sacks, Summers picking up his first 3, and Williams with 1.

The pair lead the league in the “Sack Dept”, Summers with an even dozen and Williams at 10.

From that opening weekend in July, these two teams have gone in opposite directions.  The Sun, who were expected to dominate the BCFC, have put up 374 points for with 90 against while clinching first place after 8 games.  Meanwhile Langley has only managed to score 114 pts, while the defense has surrendered 211 pts after 7 games.
