GET READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL… OKANAGAN SUN 2026 SPRING CAMP OPENS THIS WEEKEND! May 12, 2026

The long wait for the return of football is nearly over, as the Okanagan Sun Football Club prepares to open its 2026 Spring Camp May 15–17 at the Apple Bowl. More than 100 hopefuls — local, national, and international players — will arrive at camp with one goal in mind: earning a spot on the Sun’s season-opening roster. For Head Coach Travis Miller, this marks his fifth spring camp leading the program, and anticipation is high heading into a new season. “It was a long off-season and I’m really looking forward to seeing all our returning players along with the new recruits we brought in over the winter,” said Miller. “It’s always exciting to finally see players live in action through our team activities, drills, offense, defense, and special teams.” Miller is excited to see the continued development of quarterback Liam Kroeger. “I’m especially looking forward to seeing how Liam Kroeger has grown during the off-season. It’s the first time in the last five years that we’ve had a quarterback produce at the level he did.” The 2026 season will mark Kroeger’s fifth and final campaign with the Okanagan Sun. During his tenure, he has guided the club to back-to-back undefeated regular seasons (10-0) and consecutive BCFC championships in 2024 and 2025 and two National Final appearances. Last season, Kroeger led the league in passing with 2,860 yards, completing 190 of 281 attempts with 26 touchdown passes against just three interceptions. He also finished first in total offensive yards with 3,026. Adding even more motivation for the Sun this season is the opportunity to host the 2026 CJFL National Championship in November. The winner of the 2026 BCFC Cullen Cup will automatically earn the right to host the national final.
