Fast forward to July 2025 and the Sun are ready for season 45, with the mindset of challenging for another National title.
The Sun will be missing a few familiar faces from last seasons Cullen Cup Champion roster, gone, but not forgotten, RB Elelyon Noa who, game in game out was a one man hi-lite reel, LB Jacob Bond who has seen his dream of playing professional football in his home province come true, debuting with the BC Lions this past Sunday, and outstanding DB David Lewis.
Sun Head Coach Travis Miller… “I’m very excited for the 2025 season. We have a group of dedicated players who are extremely motivated and committed to our goals. This offseason, we’ve made some great additions, both on the field and on the sidelines, with new players and coaches who bring energy, experience, and a winning mindset”
Miller continues… “There’s a strong sense of purpose in our locker room right now. The culture we’ve built is one of accountability, effort, and brotherhood. We’re looking forward to the challenge ahead and can’t wait to compete each week. Our focus is on daily improvement, and if we stay true to our process, we believe we can achieve something special”
Last Season vs Rams
The Sun opened the 2024 season at home vs the Rams, picking up win number one in a 22-15 contest that saw eventual CJFL rushing champion and BCFC record holder RB Elelyon Noa score 3 TD’s.
On the return game in Langley in early September it was a hard-fought battle down to the wire as the Sun collected their 7th straight win of the season with a 41-38 barnburner over the Rams. RB Elelyon Noa was once again the star of the game scoring 4 TD’s, 3 of those along the ground.
The Sun and Rams will meet again in Week 10, September 20th at the Apple Bowl.
