Sun blanking the Rams 39-0 on their home turf. They met again on September 20th at the Apple 

Bowl when the Sun dismantled the Rams 94-0.

If you were to base the outcome of this Saturday's game on the previous meetings between the 

Okanagan Sun and Langley Rams, it could easily be considered a "no contest" in favour of the 

Sun. 

During the 2025 BCFC season, the Sun and Rams met twice. In the season opener at Langley, 

the Sun cruised to a 39-0 victory, then on September 20th at the Apple Bowl they dismantled 

the Rams 94-0. 

Over those two games, the numbers were eye-popping for the Sun: 983 net offensive yards, 757 

passing yards, 248 rushing yards, 133 points and 17 touchdowns. Langley managed just 225 net 

offensive yards, 192 passing yards, 33 rushing yards, no points and no touchdowns. 

What a difference a year can make. 

Last weekend the Rams routed the Kamloops Broncos 72-1, piling up 213 rushing yards, 373 

passing yards, 577 net offensive yards and 10 touchdowns. 

The offensive explosion was orchestrated by first-year quarterback Darryl Overstreet Jr., who 

completed 16 of 22 passes for 373 yards and four touchdowns. His favourite targets were 

Emmanuel Brown, who hauled in five receptions for 104 yards and three touchdowns, and Josh 

Caverly, who caught six passes for 145 yards and one score. 

The Rams also put up impressive numbers on the ground. Running back Tyson Godspower

carried eight times for 141 yards and three touchdowns, while Jackson Kliewer added 45 yards 

on four carries and scored twice. 

On the Sun side of the football, the defence will need another stellar 60-minute performance, 

led by fifth-year linebacker Grayson Statham (4 tackles, 2 assisted tackles), rookie defensive 

lineman Michael Sneed (4 tackles, 3 assisted tackles, 1 quarterback sack), and defensive back 

Ty Walker (3 tackles, 1 assist, 1 pass knockdown and 1 interception). 

Offensively, the Sun will once again turn to fifth-year quarterback Liam Kroeger, who 

engineered last week's 45-17 victory over the Raiders. Kroeger completed 18 of 31 passes for 

287 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, with his favourite targets being Devontae 

Mozee (6 catches for 128 yards and a touchdown) and Colton Meikle (5 receptions for 56 yards). 

On the ground, the Sun will continue to lean on rookie running back Jaxon Allan, who rushed 

for 99 yards on 19 carries and three touchdowns while adding two receptions for another 49 

yards and a touchdown. 

One other statistic that stood out from the season-opening victory: it marked Head Coach Travis 

Miller's 50th career win in his five seasons at the helm of the Okanagan Sun. Miller’s record 

2022 – (14-0), 2023 – (9-2), 2024 – (13-1), 2025 – (13-1), 2026 – (1-0). 

Based on the numbers, Saturday's showdown has all the makings of a battle of the titans, 

featuring two explosive offences and two opportunistic, hard-nosed defences. Something will 

have to give.
