Both Raquille Cespedes and Kealey Heintz were named BC Conference Players of the Week following the overtime thriller on Sunday.

Defensive Player of the Week - DB Raquille Cespedes
They say defences win championships and the Sun used defence to set the tone in the first quarter of Sunday’s playoff victory. The “D” forced three turnovers in the first 15 minutes, including two interceptions by Cespedes leading to seven points.

Special Teams Player of the Week - K Kealey Heintz
He was the overtime hero for the Sun who punched their ticket to their third straight BC Conference Cullen Cup title game.  In the overtime session Heintz booted a 34 yard field goal to send the Apple Bowl into a frenzy.  In all he was 4-4 in field goals, 2-2 in converts and averaged 23.8 yards a punt.
