The Sun defence was smothering on Sunday afternoon in a massive win over the Langley Rams.

Linebacker Layne Hull was a big reason for the success on Sunday.  He forced a fumble early in the third quarter which shifted momentum and on the very next play the offence struck for a 49 yard touchdown putting the game out of reach.  He also collected three solo tackles, had an assist and a sack, but put pressure in the backfield on a consistent basis.

He played on the offensive side of the ball as well and caught his second touchdown pass of the season.

What doesn’t show up on the stats sheet is Hull’s ability to drop back into pass coverage disrupting the timing of the Rams offence.  This was on clear display on Sunday.

For his efforts and dominance, Layne Hull has been named the BCFC Defensive Player of the Week.
