Brennan Van Nistelrooy is off to the CFL’s National Combine following an outstanding day in Edmonton at the Regional Combine.

The Sun co-MVP tallied a blazing 6.95 seconds through the 3-cone drill, which was the fastest of any of the 41 players invited.

His other results are as follows:
40 yard dash – 7.43
Bench – 13
Vertical – 35
Broad jump – 9-9.5
Shuffle – 4.21

Receiver Kyle Kawamoto also had a strong showing today at the Edmonton Combine.  His results read:

40 yard dash – 4.67
Bench – 15
Vertical – 38
Broad jump – 10-1.25
Shuffle – 4.00
3-Cone – 7.00

Van Nistelrooy has an opportunity to be the second consecutive Sun player to be drafted after Dexter Janke followed the exact same path a year ago before being selected by the Calgary Stampeders.

The CFL's National Combine is scheduled for this weekend in Toronto.
