He was a major part of why the Sun captured their first BCFC crown in 11 seasons in 2015.  Brennan Van Nistelrooy was flat out a leader on and off the field.  He led the league in interceptions and was named the BCFC Defensive Player of the Year and a CJFL All-Canadian.

The CFL and CIS have taken note of what the Lethbridge native has been able to accomplish.  He has signed a letter of intent with the University of Calgary Dinos and will be reunited with Josiah Joseph and Cliff Crews.  He has also been invited to the CFL Regional combine in Edmonton, the same combine Dexter Janke attended last year before being drafted by the Calgary Stampeders.   Van Nistelrooy is hoping the Sun can shine for a second straight year and receive an invitation to the main CFL Combine in Toronto from March 11-13.

Now that his junior career is over, Van Nistelrooy reflects on his on field accomplishments, but also how the organization was able to help him grow into the player he is and the family atmosphere at the Apple Bowl.
