The Sun program continues to graduate quality players and people, preparing them for the next step in their football careers.

Two more players will hang up their orange and brown, signing with a CIS program.

Linebacker Layne Hull becomes the latest Sun player to sign a letter of intent with the University of Regina Rams.  He will join Cord Delinte and Thomas Huber who signed with the Rams following the Canadian Bowl.

Hull was simply outstanding this past season, stepping up when the spotlight was shining brightest.  He was named the Canadian Bowl’s Defensive Player of the Game, despite the loss.  He made two tackles, three assists, blocked a punt, recovering it for a 30 yard touchdown and intercepted a pass.   During the regular season he made 14 tackles, seven assists and had 3.5 sacks.

Running back Kory Nagata becomes the first player in recent memory to sign a letter of intent with the defending Vanier Cup champion UBC Thunderbirds.

The Richmond native, spent just two seasons with the Sun and showed great speed and vision in the backfield.   In 2015 in only a handful of games due to an injury, Nagata rushed 25 times for 243 yards, averaging 9.7 yards a carry and scored two touchdowns.

In his two seasons with the Sun, Nagata rushed 74 times for 662 yards, scored seven touchdowns and averaged nine yards a carry.

Including these two players, there have now been five players from the 2015 roster to sign a letter of intent with a CIS program.
