Saturday will be Cam Bedore's final game in junior football and he faces the defending champs.  It's Bedore first national championship, looking across the field a pivot who enters his third Canadian Bowl.

So how do the two match up?

The fourth year Sun starter has enjoyed his best season to date, completing 85 passes for 1501 yards and a career high 21 touchdowns.

In the playoffs Bedore has led the Sun to a pair of lopsided wins, completing 30 passes for 575 yards and six touchdowns.  He’s also found his legs, rushing 19 times for 135 yards, plus two touchdowns runs.

The Canadian Bowl will be Bedore’s first national final, but he’s certainly no stranger to the pressures of the playoffs.   He has played in five playoff games, and has a 3-2 record, completing 66 passes for 1,137 yards, 8 touchdowns and 6 interceptions.

This title game will no doubt be Bedore’s biggest test since entering the league in 2012.

On the other side of the field, fourth year Hilltops pivot Jared Andreychuk will play in his third Canadian Bowl and second straight.  He is 2-0 in these games thus far.

Over the course of the season the veteran completed 108 passes for 1577 yards and 18 touchdowns, all considerable improvements from last season when he led the Hilltops to the national title.

Here is the playoffs Andreychuk hasn’t needed to throw the ball as much with the dominance of the Hilltops running attack.  He has completed 22 passes for 425 yards, 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.

As a starter in the post season he has been outstanding with a 5-0 record since 2012.  The only playoff loss the Hilltops have had with Andreychuk on the active roster was in 2013, when he was a backup in the PFC Final.

Throughout his career, he has completed 55% of his playoff passes and thrown for 13 touchdowns.  In his two prior Canadian Bowl appearances Andreychuk completed 21 of 38 for 354 yards and three majors, most of those coming last year in Langley.

Not only can both quarterbacks find receivers will excellent accuracy, but they can use their legs to get out of trouble as well.    They both have had success and feel comfortable scrambling around to buy more time for their talented receivers.

Both Bedore and Andreychuk will face the best defences they have seen this season.  It’ll be up to each of them to not force a play and make a bad throw for a turnover.   This game will be won or lost in the trenches and who can give more time for their leaders to make a play.

Kick-off on the 2015 Canadian Bowl from SMF Field in Saskatoon is set for 1:00pm (local time), 11:00am back in Kelowna on Saturday.
