After a 75-7 win the Sun move to the Cullen Cup

The Sun are off to their 29th Cullen Cup title game after a dominating 75-7 victory over the Kamloops Broncos.

The Sun offence tallied a 40 point first half on route to their 28th semi-final win.  In all the offence collected 554 yards; 395 through the air and 159 on the ground.

Quarterback Cam Bedore was outstanding in this three quarters of work finishing 16 of 25 for 328 yards and four touchdown passes.  He also ran for a 26 yard major.  Kyle Kawamoto caught seven passes for 198 yards and three touchdowns including an 86 yarder.  Kyle Patchell hauled in a game high 11 balls for 176 yards and three majors.

Josiah Joseph played the fourth quarter and finished 6 of 6 for 67 yards, threw a touchdowns and ran for one.

The Sun defence was again unbreakable.  Broncos’ All-Star quarterback finished 10 of 24 for 86 yards and threw three interceptions.  The Broncos became one dimensional after BCFC Outstanding Offensive Back Jacob Palmarin was injured on the first play of the game.

Defensively the Sun allowed 61 yards on the ground and 95 through the air.

The lone Broncos touchdown came from a 103 yard kick-off return from Jordan Angove setting a new BCFC playoff record.

The Sun will now prepare for the 2015 Cullen Cup next Sunday when they host the VI Raiders at 1:00pm.  It’ll be the fifth time they have met in the title game, and first since 2010.  The Raiders have won all four previous meetings.
