The Okanagan Sun Family in conjunction with the BC Football Conference are proud to announce Brennan Van Nistelrooy has been named the BCFC Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year.

In his fourth and final year of junior football Van Nistelrooy was simply outstanding as a captain of the stingiest defence in the country, leading the Canadian Junior Football League with six interceptions.

The Lethbridge, Alberta native collected 19 tackles, 4 assists, 2 blocked kicks, 2 knockdowns and recovered a fumble.
