The Game of the Week in the BCFC will feature a rematch between the Okanagan Sun (5-0) and the defending BCFC champion Langley Rams (3-2) on Saturday night.

Just two weeks ago the Sun beat the Rams 32-13 at the Apple Bowl behind 429 yards of total offence along with an outstanding defensive performance.

Sun quarterback Josiah Joseph was solid in the second half completing 12 of 14 for 211 yards and threw a touchdown pass to Lerone Robinson.  Couple that with a three touchdown night by Dillon Fortune on the ground and the Sun would remain undefeated.

Defensively the Sun allowed just 149 yards of total offence by the Rams forcing four touchdowns, including three interceptions.  Quarterback Dylan Tucker finished 9 of 18 for 61 yards while Devoun Hallums was 3 of 7 for 22 yards.

The Rams managed just 89 yards on the ground, Nathan Lund collecting 50 of those yards on 10 carries.

The CJFL’s sack leader Brock Gowanlock was held without a sack for the only time this season.  He has 9 coming into Week 6.

Alex Agnoletto of the Rams has caught fire recently, leading his club with 18 tackles and recorded his first interception last weekend.  He has been named the BCFC’s Defensive Player of the Week twice this year.

This should be a physical affair, however both teams need to avoid penalties.  Combined back in Week 4 the Sun and Rams totaled 18 penalties for 175 yards.

This game will feature the best two defences in the BCFC.  The Sun have allowed a Conference low 26 points, while the Rams have allowed the second fewest points of 87.  Both teams have 21 takeaways, the Sun with a Conference high 10 interceptions, led by Brennan Van Nistelrooy’s four.

The Rams have not lost to the Sun at home since 2011.  Last year the only regular season loss for the Sun was in Langley falling 33-20.
