The Sun dominated the Valley Huskers on Saturday night 66-3 to remain undefeated.

Here are "five takeaways" from the Sun radio network broadcast booth with Ryan Watters:

1) Van Nistelrooy, a lefty?  Over the last three seasons we have seen Brennan Van Nistelrooy line up as the punter on third and long situations.  Once he receives the snap, he has been granted permission from Coach Beatty to either kick or run for a first down.  Van Nistelrooy is right handed and right footed, or is he?  On Saturday night after taking the snap he ran left, the Huskers closed the gap so he punted the ball with his LEFT FOOT.  He’ll tell you it wasn’t his best kick, but still was able to execute it!

2) The magnificent 10:  In the third quarter when Abdi-Nasir Abdi scored a touchdown on a 14 yard run, he became the 10th different Sun player to score a touchdown against the Valley Huskers this season.

3) Holy first downs:  In the first half on Saturday night the Sun offence recorded 18 first downs.  The most in one half so far this season.  They finished with 26 first downs, a number they also reached in Week 1 against the Rebels.  By the way the Sun defence held the Huskers to ONE first down in the first half.

4) Terrance Williams and his green shoes: Most people around the Sun knew Terrance Williams (pictured) was fast, the Apple Bowl got their first look at just how fast he is, wearing his green shoes which seemingly left a green trail of speed behind him.  Lined up in the slot position in the second frame, quarterback Keith Zyla yelled “hut” and Williams was off, blazing past the Huskers DB and making an outstanding catch at mid-field.  Two plays later the combo ran the same play and Williams caught his first BCFC touchdown from 57 yards out.  The Huskers DB is still trying to catch up to him.  Pretty cool that the touchdown was also Zyla’s first career TD pass.

5) 265 and counting: The win on Saturday night was the franchise’s 265th all-time victory.  The feat took 327 games.

The Sun will travel to Langley on Saturday night looking for win 266 and 6th of this season.  Kick-off is set for 7:00pm.
