The Okanagan Sun defence was stellar on Saturday night was they got a measure of revenge beating the Langley Rams 32-13 at the Apple Bowl.
It was a defensive struggle in the first half as both offenses did not move the ball.  As a matter of fact in total both teams combined for 127 yards on the ground and 114 yards through the air.

The Rams led at halftime 6-3 on the strength of a pair of 16 yard field goals.   The only points from the Sun came from a safety and a single.

In the third quarter the Sun exploded with 21 points behind quarterback Josiah Joseph.  He led the offence on three touchdown drives.  Dillon Fortune finished off two of the drives with a five yard and a one yard touchdown run.  Joseph then hit Lerone Robinson from 18 yards out for a touchdown strike.

The fourth quarter saw Fortune add his third major of the game with a punishing 18 yards run to pay dirt.   He finished with 13 carries, 65 yards and three majors.

The Sun offence played much better in the second half.  In total the run game collected 149 yards on the ground and 289 through the air.  Joseph finished 12 of 14 for 211 yards and the score to Robinson.

Defensively the Sun held the Rams to 89 yards on the ground and 83 through the air.

The Sun (4-0) will host the Valley Huskers (0-4) on Saturday night as the CJFL celebrates Minor Football Week.  Kick off is scheduled for 7:00pm.
