The Sun open Spring Camp this weekend, with over 100 players expected in camp.

A number of key holes will have to be filled this season following the graduation of Zac Ironstand, Dexter Janke, Alex Bradley, Landon King, Ron Mwamba and Team MVP Robbie Yochim.

Head Coach Shane Beatty believes all positions will be a completive battle, but is most interested in seeing the defensive line and how it shakes out.  Returns Jonas Gering and Lucas Machado have the inside edge after an extensive off season training routine, but Coach Beatty and staff have a number of talented players coming in from across Western Canada.

As usual, a large contingent of players from Winnipeg will be in town this weekend, mixed with players from Alberta, Saskatchewan, the lower mainland, northern BC and locally.

The players attending spring camp will register on Friday at the Apple Bowl before the first players meeting on Saturday at 10:00am.

A special treat this season will be an intersquad game hosted on the Apple Bowl turf on Sunday beginning at noon.   The intersquad game will be FREE for fans to watch to get their first look at some of the new recruits vying for a roster spot.

Monday is National Signing Day.  The Sun can officially start signing players Monday morning.  The Sun open the 2015 season at home on Saturday July 25th with the Westshore Rebels in town.
