Head Coach Shane Beatty was named CJFL Gord Currie Coach of the Year
at the Banquet of Champions of Friday night, on the eve of the 2014 Canadian Bowl.
For the first time since 2010 the Sun finished 9-1, winning home field advantage throughout the BC playoffs. In just his second season, Beatty led the Sun to their first ever playoff win over the VI Raiders and set a new club record for most total yards in a season with 4,459. The Sun also won their 260th game in their history and set a BCFC record for the most winning seasons with 32 under Beatty’s watch.
