Running back Armand Bokitch makes the run game more dangerous

The Sun are extremely excited to announce that running back Armand Bokitch will return to the club following his national championship season with Butte College.

Bokitch played with the Sun in 2010 and 2011 amassing 1.145 yards on 181 carries and scored 10 touchdowns.  He also caught 18 passes for 270 yards and three majors.

Last season with Butte, Bokitch rushed 78 times for 457 yards and scored two touchdowns in 11 games as the Roadrunners went on to win the State and National Championships.

With the addition of Bokitch the Sun running game becomes even more lethal.   Add him into the backfield with Dillon Fortune, Alex Bradley, Kory Nagata and Makhail Maloff and it gives the Sun options for power and speed.

Fortune has been a workhorse and leads the Conference with 56 carries for 507 yards and has punched in four touchdowns.  Bradley has rushed 40 times for 293 yards and has scored two majors.  Throw in 33 carries, 293 yards and three touchdowns from Nagata and Maloff and the Sun running attack behind a big, hungry offensive line is one of, if not the most dangerous in the Canadian Junior Football League.

Bokitch will add another dimension and tremendous experience to the Sun carrying and catching the ball out of the backfield along with giving the quarterbacks time with his blocking abilities.  The coaching staff expect him to be in the line-up on Saturday when the Sun host the Westshore Rebels at the Apple Bowl.
