Two players out of Pincher Creek Alberta are joining the Sun after impressing at spring camp

Stephen Hochstein         Linebacker          6', 190 pounds   Pincher Creek Mustangs  (Pincher Creek AB)

The 17 year old Hochstein says he experienced a "major learning curve" at Sun spring camp as the defences run at his high school and Sun are much different but that he enjoyed the experience  of a look he wasn't used to.

Beatty on Hochstein;

“Stephen is a smart football player and very hard nose, especially for someone who is a bit smaller at the position right now. As he grows, guys like him are tough and can get scary once their body is able to play with the mentality he already has at this level. He has the potential to be a big time player for us down the road.”

Corde Delinte   Safety   5’11, 177 pounds              Pincher Creek Mustangs (Pincher Creek AB)

18 year old Delinte was a multi-position player in high school but makes the full time switch to safety this season. Corde says spring camp was a big step from high school; “There were a lot of bigger guys and the practice was pretty high energy, a lot more contact which was nice.”

Beatty on Delinte

“Corde came in and did a good job at camp. He has some room to grow physically in the next year or two but I see a lot of potential in him. He can play safety or corner for us as well, that will be big in the long run. He has a great work ethic, a great kid. Tremendous upside for him.”
